The BESS group is one of three specialist Evidence Synthesis Groups (ESGs) commissioned to produce evidence reviews to support the work of the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC).
The UK NSC advises ministers and the NHS in the four UK countries about all aspects of screening and supports implementation of screening programmes.
We also collaborate with the other two specialised screening ESGs:
- Sheffield Evidence Network for Screening Synthesis (SENSS), SCHARR, University of Sheffield
- Warwick-Birmingham Screening Evidence Synthesis Group (WeBS-ESG), Universities of Warwick and Birmingham
